Who to contact
ForgeDial is the product name used in this policy. For privacy questions, access or correction requests, or deletion requests concerning information you have sent us, contact support@forgedial.com. Please identify the relevant inquiry without including passwords or private keys.
Information used by the app
ForgeDial connects to a SIP provider or PBX that you choose. The app does not require you to create a ForgeDial-hosted account. Adding a SIP account configures access to your existing service; it does not create or cancel an account with that provider.
- Account information: SIP address, display name, authentication details, server addresses and connection preferences are used to configure and authenticate your line. Saved account settings and credentials are kept in app-private device storage.
- Calls and messages: microphone audio, optional camera video, SIP messages, destination addresses and signaling information are processed to connect you with the people you contact. Your selected SIP provider, PBX, configured network services and recipients handle the relevant traffic.
- Local records: call history, messages, app contacts, settings and configured certificates are kept on the device to support the features you use.
- Device contacts: with your permission, ForgeDial reads contact names, telephone numbers, SIP addresses and related contact information for contact display and dialing. Choosing a contact to call or message sends the relevant destination to your communications service.
- Recordings: enabling the recording setting stores call audio locally. The setting can remain enabled for later calls until you switch it off. Exporting a recording saves a separate copy to the destination you choose.
- Diagnostics and backups: diagnostic information supports troubleshooting. You can export logs and create a password-protected backup containing configuration and local records. Backups may include SIP credentials and certificates; treat them as sensitive.
Device permissions
Permission requests support the feature that needs them. You can review and revoke permissions in your device settings; related features may then be unavailable.
- Microphone: send your voice during calls and support enabled call recording.
- Camera: send video when you use video calling.
- Contacts: display and use contact details for calling and messaging.
- Notifications and ongoing-call controls: alert you to incoming calls or messages and show call status.
- Bluetooth and audio access: use available headsets and audio routes.
- File access or the system file picker: import certificates or backups, and save recordings, backups or diagnostic exports you choose.
Website inquiries and browser preferences
When you submit an inquiry, we receive your name, email address, message, the information you provide about your existing SIP infrastructure, and any optional company or team-size details. We use this information to respond, assess your requirements and follow up on your inquiry. The form records your affirmative privacy consent as part of the inquiry. Do not submit SIP passwords, private keys or confidential customer records.
The inquiry is sent by email using Resend to support@forgedial.com and handled through our support mailbox and mail-forwarding services. The website does not maintain an inquiry database. This does not mean your inquiry disappears after sending: copies remain in the email services used to deliver and handle it.
The website remembers your selected language in local browser storage. You can remove this preference by clearing this site’s browser data. We do not use advertising pixels or audience analytics on this website.
The website processes connection information needed to serve requests. Its inquiry endpoint uses a short-lived hashed representation of the requester’s IP address for rate limiting; it does not include that identifier in the inquiry email. Hosting and email infrastructure may process technical metadata, such as IP addresses, request times and delivery information, to operate and protect their services.
Security and encryption
We use reasonable access and transport safeguards for the website and support systems. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Keep your device, SIP credentials and backup password secure. Saved app credentials are not represented here as an independently encrypted password vault.
SIP signaling and call-media protection depend on the transport, certificate validation, media-encryption settings and the capabilities of your provider and peer. ForgeDial does not guarantee that every call is encrypted or end-to-end encrypted. Exported recordings and diagnostic files can contain sensitive information; review them before sharing.
How long information is kept
Local app information remains until you remove it, clear the app’s stored data, or it is removed by the app’s local history limits. Account settings can persist between sessions. User-enabled recordings remain associated with local call history unless removed, and exported copies are managed separately. Device or cloud backup copies may be governed by your device and storage-provider settings.
We retain inquiry and support correspondence for as long as needed to handle and follow up on the matter, maintain relevant business records and meet applicable legal obligations. You can request deletion at support@forgedial.com. Where information must be retained for a legal or security reason, we will explain the applicable limitation. We do not promise an automatic fixed-day deletion schedule.
Your choices and deletion
You can stop using a SIP account in ForgeDial without deleting the account held by your provider. Removing a local account also removes its associated local call history and messages; history removal deletes the app’s associated recording files. This does not remove copies you exported or information held by other people or service providers.
- Remove a configured line from the app’s Accounts area. To cancel the actual SIP service or delete provider-held records, contact your provider or PBX administrator.
- Remove individual or account-level call history and messages using the app’s available controls. Remove app-created contacts separately; device-address-book contacts remain managed by your device’s contacts service.
- To reset all local app data, use your device’s app storage controls. Separately remove exported recordings, logs, backups and any copies held by your selected storage service.
- Revoke microphone, camera or contacts permission in device settings to restrict future access.
- For website inquiries or support records, email support@forgedial.com from the address used to contact us. We may request limited information to verify that the request is yours. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to access, correct, restrict or object to processing and to complain to your local privacy authority.
Children
ForgeDial’s website and business inquiries are intended for people configuring communications for themselves or their organization, and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact support@forgedial.com so we can review and address it.
Policy updates
We update this policy when our practices or services change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes will be explained through an appropriate product or website notice. Contact support@forgedial.com if you have questions about an update.
